A working history — from research on water and sanitation to regional partnerships on climate and energy.
A research report was submitted to the Center for Science and Environment on the prevalence of water and excreta conditions in Srinagar city, Jammu and Kashmir — contributing to a water literacy movement across India.
SAVAE formed the Zonal Water Partnership for the North Zone (Hilly Region), partnering with Himachal Pradesh-based organization Prakhti and other organizations in Jammu and Kashmir.
SAVAE produced a vision document addressing water scarcity, institutional ambiguity, infrastructure gaps and inadequate water supply networks in the hilly region.
With the Department of Science and Technology, SAVAE examined the impacts of extreme temperatures on water resources and infrastructure, including challenges of sub-zero temperatures on drinking-water systems.
SAVAE organized training and capacity-building workshops involving youth on Integrated Water Resources Management, and produced a report documenting the training, outcomes and networking activities.
A project on capacity building for management and utilization of solar energy resources to improve living conditions in rural areas was approved by the Perez-Guerrero Trust Fund for South-South Cooperation.
A SAVAE Board member was nominated as a fellow of the Benefit Sharing Water Governance Training Program and selected for "Benefit Sharing in the Indus Basin: Nurturing Community Leadership for Water Governance."
